Fracturing - Quantum LP System

This is a low polymer borate crosslinked system that reduces the polymer damage in the frac and still allows long, large fracturing treatments to be placed. This technology is unique to Trican and has allowed us to place large fracs at low rates (1.2 m³/min). The polymer loading is typically 1.8 kg/m³ but has been as low as 1.6 kg/m³. This system gives our customers significant advantages:

• Job cost is reduced due to low pump rate (less kW), and low gel loading (less chemical).
• Production is increased due to reduced polymer damage (half of traditional amounts) and large frac lengths.
• Job cost is reduced and efficiency improved as this system eliminates the need for a hydration unit. A hydration unit is only run when methanol is added to the system.
