Coiled Tubing - High Pressure CT Operations

Trican has developed a specialized high-pressure coiled tubing (HPCT) unit that has been in service since the summer of 2000. Since then, we have carried out the vast majority of HPCT operations in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. HPCT operations are defined as operations where the wellhead pressure is in excess of 35Mpa (5000psi) but can be as high as 105MPa.

To date, the maximum wellhead pressure that has been recorded during Trican operations is 80 MPa. Recorded circulating pressures have been in excess of 95MPa.
