ACIDIZING AND PRODUCTION ENHANCEMENT

DSA^TM

DSA (Dirty Sandstone Acid)^TM is designed to remove plugging materials from the pore spaces of sandstone reservoirs. DSA comprises a unique blend of mineral and organic acids containing a clay stabilizer, a clay dehydrator, a silt suspender, an emulsion breaker, an anti-sludge agent, surfactants and iron control agents.

DSA is routinely used in the follow applications:

• New well completion - DSA is used to de-stabilize and dissolve filtrates that result from drilling and completion operations.
• Matrix de-scaling - DSA effectively dissolves calcium and iron compounds, leaving the flow channels in sandstones clean and unobstructed.
• Emulsion blocks - DSA effectively prevents and/or removes emulsions that accumulate in the flow channels of the rock matrix.
• Natural wettability - DSA maintains and restores the reservoir’s natural wettability with the use of surfactants and mutual solvents.
