Polybore

Polybore is a new and innovative service line for Trican. Similar to coiled tubing, the Polyethylene pipe is mounted on a reel and inserted into the casing. This pipe then lines the casing to provide corrosion protection, reduce friction wellhead pressures with associated cost savings, eliminate tubing / packer change outs, patch existing casing, corrosion protection and many more benefits.

By lining the wellbore of a brine disposal or injection well, the Polybore system can be used to significantly reduce the operating costs associated with these wells by allowing for a tubingless / packerless completion. This type of completion significantly lowers injection pressure by removing friction loss in the injection string tubulars and dramatically increases the injection rate, leading to reduced injection pump horsepower requirements. Polybore also protects the casing from corrosive injectants. Other benefits of the Polybore system include a major savings in power costs, increased injection rate, safer working environment and increased casing life.
